Graduation Collection 'Semen of the Gods’

Aphrodite, Goddess of Love and Grace, came from the sea. The word aphros means foam in Greek.
Semen fell from heaven into the ocean, the semen of the Father of the Gods.
It made a rich foam and the Goddess of love appeared, errar per le onde in bianca schiume
wrote a poet at the Court of the Medici – and heavens rejoiced, e par che ‘l ciel ne goda.
For Plato, the nature of his birth was such that it had better be buried in silence,
unless a chosen few hear of it in the form of mystery

My creations try to express this mystery As King Charles II’s fiend, Charles Sedly wrote:
Love still has something of the sea / From whence his mother rose…
And if I gazed a thousand years / I could no deeper love.
